In 2012, the Get to Know Contest will be back in the United States and for the first time, the contest will launch in both the U.S. and Canada simultaneously. Check back early in the new year for information on the 2012 Get to Know Contest!

In the meantime, get outdoors and Get to Know today - take a Virtual Hike, explore with the Natural Treasure program, come out to a BioBlitz, or check out a few of great programs offered by our partners.

Adventure, fun, exploration - it's all waiting for you. Get outdoors and discover all the cool things to do and see in your local environment. From your own backyard to our towering national forests, you can find plants and animals at every turn. Develop a connection with these wild neighbours! Learn their names. Find out where they live.

Enter the Robert Bateman Get to Know Contest by submitting art, writing, or photography of your wild neighbours. The goal is to be as creative as possible - so let the natural world inspire you!
